This brick and heavy timber warehouse was designed in 1924 by the
architecture firm of Tharinger & Bruecker. The four-story river front
building was completely renovated and updated in 2004, including
construction of the contemporary roof-top level. In addition to the 21 loft
apartments, the building also houses sophisticated retail boutique Blush
Beauty and the spectacular bi-level restaurant/bar Water Buffalo, fronting
the river and easily accessed by the riverwalk.

All one and two bedroom loft apartments feature exposed heavy timbers,
cream-city brick, GE appliances including dishwashers, in-unit laundry, and
dramatic ceiling heights. Bathrooms feature tiled floors and shower/tub
combinations. Some units feature balconies or decks, powder rooms, dens,
and many offer great river and/or lake views. Because of the complete
renovation in late 2004, all windows, cabinets, millwork, fixtures,
finishes, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems including all of the
supporting infrastructure was replaced and updated. Hallways are carpeted
and common areas are secure, well lit, and offer original hardwood floors
and slate tile in addition to exposed cream city brick and wood beams . The
exterior of the building was cleaned and repaired to highlight many of it's
extraordinary design elements. |
